Sinéad 2560 2256 Oddysee

Sinéad serves up a lovely batch of warm, bouncy house rollers for our 77th Buy Music Club instalment.

Making her mark across dance-floors in different corners of the world, Sinéad has been keeping busy with a string of exciting appearances and projects. Based in San Francisco, right in the heart of a scene deeply connected to the golden era of early 00s tech-house, she’s been catching our attention for a while now. We’re big fans of her contribution to Peach’s Sixth Sense mix series, and recently she kicked off Jewel Box, an exciting new newsletter project.

For her BMC selection, she digs into a lovely mix of deep, warm and bouncy house rollers, with plenty of cheeky vocal bits, dubby twists and that unmistakable early 00s swing. A nice year ahead for Sinéad and we can’t wait to hear more. Dive in below!

Cow Head – Neither (Sakro Remix)

Some friends put me onto Sakro and I’ve dug pretty deep into his catalogue at this point. Something I love about his productions is his kick style. He make lots of different moods of music but something thats always consistent is the kick. It’s really useful for keeping the energy in the club. Something like this is quite groovy and warm but can be played in the middle of a set because of the strong kick.

NTFO – Approach (Diego Krause Remix)

I really rinsed the hell out of this one last year. I played it in almost all of my sets. I picked up the record first at Boom Service in NYC and then later found the digital! Super bouncy and the keys make it an uplifting tool! I think the whole EP is great too.

Noah Coinflip – Soul Explosion

A newer release from my friend Dylan Payne’s label. I love this track and ‘Pressure’ off this EP. I generally don’t play much ‘breaky’ stuff but I find certain breaks can be a nice palette cleanse in sets. The baseline is quite growling but the rest of the elements are bright and playful and sexy. I reserve this track for a daytime/ outside typah thing.

Gio.wav – Winteralleyway

Swinging, tooley, and kinda sinister. I find I gravitate towards squidgy sounds and this track really scratches that itch while also maintaining a sorta driving sinister tone.

Hudd Traxx – Vibester

Actually just re-found this track on my stick when I played Palais the other week. It’s got a heavy baseline with these daunting piano chords and whooshing elements that make it slightly frightening but very sexy imo lol. Banger.

Eden Burns – Rat’s a Rat

Funny enough I bought this YEARS ago but re-found it while stumbling through Bandcamp recently. To my delight it had that little heart underneath it saying ‘you own this’ LOL. I have been absolutely rinsing this since.. such a nice rolling tool. Slightly etherial but driving and has some nice housey elements and of course some squidge.

Snad – Negocios

My favorite thing about SNAD is his productions are very recognizably him. He is a true house head at heart and I love how this influences the music he makes. The thing I love so much about this track is the sort of off kilter whirling elements and short quick key changes all while keeping a house groove underneath it all. This came out a couple years ago but been rinsing this past summer.

K-Hand – Candlelights

*reserved for a very special moment* I have yet to play this as im saving it for the right time and place. Feels like something you’d play as the sun comes up or ending a long set.. I absolutely love everything about this track and one day when the moments right I will play it. It just feels too special to me to play any time.

Håkan Lidbo – Televinken

Played this actually for the first time in the later hours of the afters and seemed like it was a hit LOL. I don’t know entirely how to describe it, deep and floaty? Love love love it.

Swayzak – Easy

For the sexier, deeper moments. I really love this vocal and the heavenly elements throughout. It just feels like a track that lives at my core.
