Laundrette co-founder David Elimelech opens a treasure trove of tried and true house tunes in divine fashion.
If you’re into classic house sounds from a time when dance floors were truly sweaty, you’re probably already familiar with the lovely David Elimelech. Putting the Detroit and Chicago back into house music, David has been collecting and studying these sounds with a deep understanding and sensitivity to the originators. Earning him the opportunity to share his collection of rarities at clubs and parties worldwide, including IsBurning, Basement and Panorama Bar. Aside from that, he’s been an integral part of the queer underground club scene for over a decade, as one of the co-founders of the iconic Laundrette party series, alongside Roi Perez and Partok.
As big admirers, we’re excited to have him contribute the latest installment in our series, as he shares a fine collection acid house stompers, uplifting vocal tracks and Laundrette anthems.

The Sound Man ft. Mercy – The Factory (Factory Version) (Sex Mania)
DJ Duke’s Bandcamp is a treasure, featuring an extensive catalog of his all-time classics. This track is one of my personal favorites and has been essential for me, especially during some magical mornings.
Mark Grusane – Jack Your Ass Off (Disctechno)
“A House Of My Own” is a classic Chicago house release full with bangers that makes any dancefloor sweat.
Mystery Friend – Jack Me (self-released)
Mystery Friend is a Buenos Aires-based artist you should definitely check out. His productions blend ’80s samples with an old-school vibe. Jack Me is a killer acid track that I’ve been playing a lot.
Marcus Mixx – Folding The Water Neatly (No Dressers Or Closets Needed Mixx) (Trax Records)
Marcus Mixx Shannon probably produced some of the most expensive records I have in my record collection but this track (like many others from his releases in the last years) is only available digitally. It is a signature Marcus Mixx serious chicago house and it is also a dance floor killer.
Kim English – Time For Love (David Morales Club Mix) (Nervous Records)
You can’t go wrong with any of David Morales’ remixes, and featuring the stunning vocals of Kim English, this track became my ultimate closing track.
Sleepless – Good Time (J.F.K. Mental Mix) (Eightball Records)
A real stomper I found in Audio In, my favorite store in Berlin. Don’t recall a single time I went to that store and did not come out with gold.
DJ Split – Ablaze (Major Records)
DJ Split is a one to watch, I’ve been playing a lot of his new productions by him including this one. Freshly released on Major records the label by The Carry Nation and Justin Cadmore.
Freddy Bastone presents Danny Xtravaganza – Love The Life You Live (Marz Mix) (Nu Groove Records)
Nu Groove’s underrated gem by Freddy Bastone and Danny Xtravaganza, the legendary founding member and house mother of the iconic House of Xtravaganza.
Hayden Andre – Broken Chains (Strobe Records)
This one is a Laundrette anthem. What I really love about this track is that it changes mid way to a soulful atmosphere.
Johnny Vicious ft. Loli – Stand Up (Jeffrey Allen’s D.M. Zanzibar Edit) (Vicious Muzik Records)
“Stand Up” is a stunning track featuring the iconic vocals of Loleatta Holloway. With its deep after-hours vibe, it builds beautifully and patiently.
Armando – Sweet Love (TRAX Records)
One of my favorite albums from one of my favorite producers, the legend that is Armando.
K-HAND ft. Marie Divine – Can’t Live Without Your Love (Kelli Hand On Mix) (Acacia Records)
A timeless ’90s house track by the First Lady of Detroit, K-HAND <3
Stasis – Smooth Emotion (Peacefrog Records)
Stasis Productions always delivers the perfect soundtrack for a melancholic rainy day and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.
