On Board Music honcho Laura BCR compiles an alluring selection of immersive dub techno and thoughtful soundscapes.

For those unfamiliar with her works, Laura BCR is the driving force behind On Board Music, the Berlin-based record label and booking agency that has built impressive momentum over the past years. Aside from carefully curating the record label, and handling all aspects of the booking agency, her extraordinary and versatile selections behind the decks is what made the Berlin-based Française rise to international praise. With her monthly radio show on Rinse FM she connects the dots between her wide-ranging taste and showcasing exciting new talent in the form of guest appearances.

Following her recent debut EP for Something Happening Somewhere, which features five beautiful tracks of dubbed-out techno and introspective sounds, we extended the invite and are happy that Laura is down to give us a taste of her current favourites on Bandcamp.

Vera Logdanidi – Euphoria (Semantica Records)
Vera Logdanidi is an excellent producer and all her tracks are super intense and so well written. Euphoria built up is very strong and super emotional. I’m a big fan of the producer!

Konduku – Mantar Kaya (Spazio Disponibile)
One of the good news of the month! Very excited about the new release from Konduku on Spazio. A track that can be played to build with intensity a set – honestly love all the elements in this one.

Felix Fleer – Dhyana (Pregnant Void)
This Ambient track on Pregnant Void has been released in 2020. It’s very moody and could be an excellent intro to a set when the drums are starting it’s super impressive.

Toki Fuko – Freedom and Desire (Lowless)
I’m completely addicted to that track! The album is also very impressive. It fits any kind of sets. The voice is very powerful such as the drums. An amazing work again coming from Toki Fuko and Lowless.

The Spiral – Afterglow (Mysteries of the Deep)
Crazy synth on this track released a couple of weeks ago. I already listen to it a lot at home. Super intense too with a perfect progression. Slow drums coming in surface . Also something to start a set.

JS – JS-03 (J-S)
I’m a huge fan of Dub Techno and I love to play this track. It has been released end of the 90’s and tracks from MCMLX’s the sub-label J-S are available on Bandcamp from not so long ago. Can be played anytime and fits also quite well any open-air situation.

Barker & JakoJako – Duality (Unrush)
Huge fan of Mareena’s Ambient label Unrush and especially this track from Barker and JakoJako released this year. Something I played already in my radio show. Super atmospheric.

Launaea – Reflected Life (Oslated)
I love this Ambient Techno track from Launaea. It was out this Spring on Korean-Oslated imprint. I love mostly everything from the label. Super edgy selection always.

Black Merlin – Scape One (Gordon Pohl Remix II) (Artificial Dance)
It’s the most uplifting track from the selection even if it’s still a bit moody haha. It’s a prefect track to dance. It’s gonna be released this month.

Ben Buitendijk – Zero Down (Oblique Music)
Incredible track by Ben Buitendijk but the whole EP is magic. Big crush also of this summer. Completely mental!

Moon Patrol – Moofter (On Board)
Irina and Gilles (as Moon Patrol) released this track on our latest On Board charity compilation. Super moody, with breaks and also atmospheric.

Laura BCR – They Never Came Back (Something Happening Somewhere)
This one is my favorite track from the EP released on SoHaSo last month. A good storyteller 🙂

Oscar Mulero – Primary Elements (The Third Room)
Big fan of Oscar Mullero when he is going trippy. This new track is my one of my fav from this Summer!
