Effective tech house, remastered classics and ringtone suggestions curated by hometown favourite Rey Colino.
Rey Colino is one of the undisputed tastemakers of Amsterdam’s club scene. He’s the driving force behind the exceptionally well-curated Kalahari Oyster Cult label and co-founder of vinyl distro company One Eye Witness. In short, he knows what’s up and is easily one of the most on point DJs around, bringing refined selections to like-minded music heads.
After gracing our mix series with a sick contribution a while back, we’re glad to have him back on Oddysee. This time around he rolls through with a hand-picked selection of music, as he reminisces about De School closing, KOC specials and go-to tracks.

Jack Chrysalis – One Day (Mana)
One Day, I hope to sign a tune like this!
Shakta – Questions (Remasterd) (Dragonfly Records)
My intro track for many many sets back then.
Aleski Perälä – Cycles 5 (Repetitive Rhythm Research)
This is my alarm ringtone currently…
Connective Zone – Qwerty (Emoticon)
… but I might change it to this one to be fair.
E.B.E. – Intuit (Jump Recordings)
EBE = extraterrestrial biological entity.
Chris Jackson – Feel Free (Jump Recordings)
Feel free to buy this one and support this artist.
Lagares – HWLSD69.1 (Howl Records)
Hardwax would say: easy-going, effective tech-house and I would agree.
Tim Düysen – Interludium (2020 Edit) (Holic Trax)
1995 to 2020 classic remastered.
Ricky Montanari – I Felt Free (Unrleased Mix)
I played this once, it was at the closing of De School Weekender and it embodies this last goodbye party very well.
Ether – Detonator (Furious Frank’s Placid Acid Edit) (Free Download) (Kalahari Oyster Cult)
The only Bandcamp only track from the label, it’s free and it’s hot.
