Berlin based vinyl aficionado Stella Zekri is in the house.

Stella Zekri is an exhilarating DJ who has been gaining a cult following in the sometimes-dense Berlin scene. Each track and set can be considered a statement and a creation expression that reveals itself as a vivid language that transcends genres and trends. From pitched down trance, old school hip hop, disco, house and new beat… there are no rules and this sense of freedom is mirorred on the dance-floor. The avid collector considers diggin’ as a central to her lifestyle and at each event, who can hear what she has found, loved and provided a gateway to her musical cosmos.

Stella currently holds a residency at HÖR Berlin, and one of the city’s biggest and most beloved Queer parties: Cocktail d’Amore. She is also co-founder and curator of the Body Language night. We’d also highly recommend checking out her “Détends-toi” album which she co-write with Ed Longo and landed last year.

All vinyl goodies this week from the vinyl only DJ, get ready to cross boundaries and borders with Stella’s wonderfully eclectic picks…

Parbleu – Pas De Saints Au Paradis (Periodica Records)
Feeling so grateful for the band Parbleu in the world. Coming from Italy they graced us with French vocals on Carribean disco grooves. Brilliant songs, this one is my favorite from their album.

Saada Bonaire – 1992 (Captured Tracks)
I couldn’t be happier when I heard that Saada Bonaire still had some long lost unreleased music from the 90s to bring out to the world, and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful songwriting on a downtempo groovy track. Love it.

Giraffi Dog – The Temple of Magatao (Warning)
Killer electro track with the dose we need of synths, cowbells and vocoder. Pressed on 7 inch, I absolutely love the object.

DVLVCRVZ – Edge of Reality (Jupiter4)
A stunning trap-ish beat track released on my favorite bass music and modern electro label, Jupiter4.

Neba Solo – Can 2002 (Secousse)
The song created for the football Africa Cup of Nations in 2002 is to this day an absolute dancefloor banger. Thx for Secousse for pressing this Malian Classic on record.

Credit 00 – True 2 the Gehm (Uncanny Valley)
This breaky acid hit from Credit 00 is undeniable on a dance floor and a real pleasure to mix.

Icarus Traxx – Commandment (Jack 88 Tape Mix) (ensemblebxl.)
A killer Chicago sounding jackin’ house track from Berlin.

Bonnie Banane – Statue (self-released)
One of my go-to final tracks.

Fio Fa – You Think (Radiant Records)
The record rarely leaves my bag. A fast deep and driving house banger.

Paramida – Dream Ritual (Eris Drew & Octo Octa’s Alchemical Sisters Dub) (Love On The Rocks)
This one also rarely leaves my bag and always gets the dancers in a sexy deep wormhole. To rock it, You will have to like me buy this one on record, as you can’t purchase the digitals alone! Maybe time to start collecting vinyl.
